TTIP and CETA are effectively the same deals. Multinationals with Canadian subsidiaries can sue for lost profits just like what was planned with TTIP.
In two weeks EU member states vote on CETA and just one “No” vote could derail the entire deal. Austrian Chancellor Kern has already expressed concerns that CETA will “shift the power balance in favor of global enterprises.” He’s our best chance right now but he needs to hear from as many of us as possible if he’s to stay strong.
Uplift members are teaming up with people powered communities across Europe to send our message to Chancellor Kern. Can you add your voice to this open letter asking him to vote against the CETA proposal on October 18th?
